Sri Hari Aarti and Sahasranama

The resplendent Śrī Hari, at the Ashram temple is worshipped twice daily, with a devotional Aarti and chanting of the Vishnu Sahasranama (morning) and Lalita Sahasranama (evening).

The Aarti is a sacred ritual in which light from the flame of a lamp is reverentially offered along with a song of praise to The Divine, as an expression of gratitude, love and surrender.

The beautiful ‘Śrī Hari Aarti’ written by Swamiji himself, is a sublime hymn that celebrates the infinite glory, forms and lila (divine play) of The Supreme Being.

The Vishnu Sahasranāma is an ancient and powerful stotra (hymn) of a thousand holy names, virtues or epithets of the Lord, to invoke, worship and meditate on the cosmic form of the Masculine aspect of the Divine as Lord Vishnu or Hari.

The Lalita Sahasranāma, is the most sacred text to Shaktas or worshippers of The Divine Mother. It is an immeasurably potent stotra of a thousand holy names and attributes of the Feminine aspect of the Divine, to invoke, worship and meditate on her cosmic form as Śrī Lalita Devi.

When chanted mindfully with devotion, the sonic vibration of awakened mantras align us with the energy, rhythm and grace of the Universe.
