“Idol worship does not mean that you only worship the idol, it simply means you have assigned a form to the one you pray to. It can bestow immense inner strength.” ~ Om Swami
The consecrated idol of Śrī Hari in the temple is ceremoniously worshipped with an ‘Abhishekam’ – a holy bathing ritual, accompanied by transcendent chanting of the Vishnu Sahasranama or Lalita Sahasranama. It is traditionally performed on auspicious, spiritually-charged days of the year to invoke and revere the awakened Divine Energies that reside within.
Devotees express their sentiments of devotion and gratitude to the Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient, ever-smiling Śrī Hari. They venerate the eternal union of the Feminine and Masculine aspects of the Divine – The primordial Shiva-Shakti, Vishnu-Lakshmi, Purusha-Prakriti principles of creation.
We warmly invite you to participate in this sacred ceremony on these special days.
